Omar Ortez is NauakPower’s Founder and General Manager. Mr. Ortez is an international and community development expert turned social entrepreneur. For over fifteen years, Mr. Ortez worked with several member organizations (European and American) of the Oxfam confederation in various positions of high responsibility: Based out of Boston (as Senior Policy Advisor for Active Citizenship and Senior Coordinator of Aid Effectiveness Official Development); based out of Barcelona (as Head of Technical Cooperation); and in San Salvador (as Country Representative). In addition to this, for five years he was Director of Program Evaluation at Roca Inc., an NGO dedicated to the development of high-risk youth (mostly children of immigrants), located in Chelsea, Massachusetts. Mr. Ortez holds a master’s degree in International and Regional Development from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT); and holds an engineering degree in Agro-Economics from the University of Central America “José Simeón Cañas” (UCA).
Rodolfo Argueta – Is our Financial Manager. Mr. Argueta holds a Business Administration degree from Universidad Francisco Gavidia (UFG). And had over 10 years of experience as corporate and fiduciary executive at Citibank El Salvador. He tracks our compliance with internal controls and our fiscal commitments, and monitors projects’ financial implementation. During his free time he enjoys playing soccer and being a finance educator.

Obdulio Calvo – Is our Senior Advisor for Plants Development. Mr. Calvo holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from El Salvador’s National University (UES) as well as a Master’s in Business Administration. He has over 30 years of experience developing utility scale plants of various technologies in the Salvadoran electricity sector, primarily with Grupo CEL.

Javier González –Is our Advisor for Electrical and Photovoltaic Engineering. Mr. González holds an Electrical Engineering degree from Don Bosco University (UDB). He supports us in crafting and monitoring contracts for electrical and photovoltaic designs, procurement and installations. During his spare time, Javier does competitive Chess matches.
